There are also win32 APIs that you can use. If you are using PB11 then you can use it through.Net interops as c# has some native interfaces to do so. From various websites I created the following. I wanted a function that would continuously read from the serial port with the option of writing to a text file as well. See non-reviewed read serial port with powerbuilder software. Virtual serial ports look and work exactly as real hardware serial ports.
